Kickback stop function
WARNING
Risk of injury
The kickback stop does not guarantee com
plete protection against a kickback.
► Always concentrate on your work and refer
to the safety instructions and warnings.
A kickback while working may cause the saw to
lift unintentionally.
The feeler wedge [8-1] detects unintentional
lifting (kickback) of the saw from the workpiece
or a rail during work and triggers the quick-act
ing braking of the saw blade (Fig. 8a).
This reduces the risk of a kickback. However, it
cannot be entirely ruled out.

Once the saw has been positioned
such that is completely level, the
LED will switch to green. If this is
not the case, check the kickback

Unintentional triggering of the kickback
stop function
Working without a guide rail on an uneven
workpiece may cause the kickback stop func
tion to trigger unintentionally (Fig. 8b).
The feeler wedge [8-1] runs along the work
piece. If there is a recess in the workpiece, the
position of the feeler wedge will correspond to
the position when the workpiece or guide rail is
lifted. This triggers the kickback stop function.
It may then be necessary to work without the
kickback stop function (see section
).
