5.4.3 Fitting/removing the large surface−mounted silencer or the exhaust
plate
Proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the 6 fastening screws of the large surface−
mounted silencer or exhaust plate and remove it from the
basis components.
2. Check the seal between the basis component and the
surface−mounted silencer or exhaust plate for damage.
Replace the seal if it is damaged.
3. Make sure that the seal is seated correctly. The seating is
determined by guides in the large surface−mounted si
lencer or exhaust plate.
4. Fasten the large surface−mounted silencer or exhaust
plate only with the original screws. Tighten these screws
in diagonally opposite sequence with max. 0.65 Nm (ex
haust plate) or 1.0 Nm (large surface−mounted silencer).
5.4.4 Replacing the sub−base
Dismantling Proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the electrical and pneumatic connections and re
move the MPA valve terminal from its fastening surface
(see this chapter, Dismantling the MPA valve terminal").
2. Place the MPA valve terminal on a flat working surface.

Before dismantling the sub−bases, you must remove all
components (valve plates, blanking plates and electronic
modules) from
all sub−bases.
