ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

GENERALITA’

IMPORTANT:

• Disconnect the power supply before start with the wiring connection.

• Disconnect the power to all circuits before accessing the electrical parts.

• Before connecting the power cable, identify line L and neutral N, then make the connections according to

the wiring diagram .

• Make sure the connection to the mains occurs through an omnipolar switch with contact opening of at

least 3 mm .

• Use cable type H05 VVF cable with PVC isolation material in accordance with the standard EN 60335-2-40.

• Use minimum cable section 2,5 mm

2

 .

• Ensure  that the mains supply connection is made through a switch that disconnects all poles, with a

contact gap of at least 3 mm .

Proceed in the following way to make the electrical connections:

1 .

Disconnect the electricity main and make sure that no one can connect it again while the operations are being

carried out

2 .

Remove the intake filter as illustrated in Fig.1 (model VM-B only)

3 .

Remove the four screws (1-Fig.1) that fix the casing to the frame and take out the casing (version VM-B VM-F

only). Make sure to release the connection cable between the receiver card and control card.

4 .

Connect the protection wire coming from the supply line directly to the earth screw, suitable for guaranteeing the

equipotential connections of all the metal earths and structural parts of the machine (Fig.2).

5 .

Loosen the screws of the electric power source connections.

6 .

Loosen the wire clamp, insert the power cable and then lock it in place.

7 .

Electrically connect the supply cables to the terminal block .

8 .

Make sure the cables are correctly inserted and fixed in the seats, positioning them as described.

9 .

Reposition the casing near the frame and reconnect the receiver card (VM-B VM-F version only). For VN and VN-

3V units, connect the receiver cable to the card of the remote receiver installed beforehand.

10 .

Cover the terminals with a special lid that comes standard

11 .

Fix the case to the frame (VM-B VM-F version only) with the 4 screws (1-Fig.1)

12 .

Fit the intake filter back in place (VM-B only)

13 .

Hook up the electricity main again.

Nota1:

If a single-rank bank is mounted, the minimum temperature probe is positioned in the housing formed on it.

If the three-way valve is installed (series VB1-F, VB3F), the minimum water temperature probe must be positioned

on the pipe prior to valve VB1-F (if installed) or on valve VB3-F, regardless of whether the single-rank bank is fitted.

Nota2

: In ducted versions with a multi-speed motor, three speeds of the six available can be enabled by selecting the

relative connections in the terminal board installed on the motor.
