PIPES AND DRAINING OFF CONDENSATION
· The standard pump is not suitable for draining off condensation at a higher
level than the appliance. Moreover, the drain pipes must slant at least 1% to
allow the pump to operate correctly
· To drain off water whose level is higher than the appliance, install an auixilia-
ry condensation drain pump with relative condensation tray and level gauge.

· Insert the supplied hose nipple as shown in Fig.1.
· It is preferable to use a rigid PVC pipe with a 25 mm internal ø to drain off the
condensation.
· To ensure that the condensation flows away regularly, the drain pipe must
slant 1% downwards without throttles or sections slanting upwards. Also mount
a trap, accessible for inspection (1 Fig.1) and at least 50 mm in depth to prevent
unpleasant odours from forming in the room.
Models with safety floats are recommended since they shut off the electrothermal valve in the event of a
pump fault.
· The pipes must be covered with 5-10 mm thick condensation-proof material, such as polyurethane, neopre-
ne or foam material.
· If several appliances are installed in a room, the condensation pipe must be made as shown in Fig.2. The
main manifold must be sized to drain off all the appliances at the same time.
CONNECTIONS
The selection and sizing of the hydraulic lines is delegated responsibility for the
designer who must operate under the rules of good practice and legislation.
- Position the hydraulic lines
- Tighten the connections using the “key against key” (Fig 3)
- Check for leakage
- Coat the connections with insulating material
The hydraulic lines and joints must be thermally insulated. Avoid partial
insulation of pipes.
Do not over tighten to avoid damaging the insulation.
