Resetting the system

After checking that there are no fuel leaks:
• Remove the cover and press button 

A 

on 

the switch. 

�

• Turn the key to position 

II

, wait a few 

seconds and start the engine.

• Check once again that there are no fuel 

leaks.

Fuel cut-off inertia switch 

The fuel system is fi tted with an automatic 

safety switch which is activated in the event 

of a collision, cutting off the fuel fl ow and 

consequently stopping the engine and 

preventing the fuel from leaking if the lines 

have been damaged. 

If you smell fuel after a collision or 

notice any leaks, do not reset the 

switch in order to prevent the risk of fi re.

The inertia switch is positioned on the left-

hand side of the passenger compartment, in 

the lower part of the front door jamb, and is 

protected by a metal bracket.
