5.6 Adjusting the Fastener-Post Brackets
Use (Figure 16) for reference as you loosen, adjust, and tighten the
fastener-post brackets.
Notee:
The screws are attached with Loctite® threadlocker. The screws may
be difficult to loosen, but do not apply heat.
1. Unlock the Stat Trac from the floor.
2. End-Cap Brackete: Use a 1/2” socket or angled open wrench to
loosen but do not remove the four bracket hex screws.
3. Center Brackete: (Models 185-96 and 185-103 only): Use a 7/16”
socket or angled open wrench to loosen but do not remove the
four hex screws on the center bracket. Use a 5/32” Allen wrench to
loosen but do not remove the two Allen screws on the cot-lock
side of the Stat Trac.
4. Funnel-End Brackete: Use a 7/16” socket or angled open wrench
to loosen but do not remove the seven hex screws on the
funnel-end bracket. There are three screws on the side with the
safety stop, and four on the cot-lock side. Use a 5/32” Allen wrench
to loosen but do not remove the four Allen screws holding the
plastic funnel guides.
Using the Stat Trac
WARNING
Improper adjustment can cause injury and damage. Do
not loosen the fastener posts. If needed, adjust only the
height of the fastener-post brackets.

5. With all screws loosened, mount the Stat Trac to the floor plates.

If the Stat Trac cannot be mounted, contact Ferno. See “Ferno
Customer Relations” on page 2.
6. All modelse: With the Stat Trac mounted to the floor plates, tighten
all hex and Allen screws to set the position of the fastener-post
brackets and guides.
7. All modelse: Unlock and remove the Stat Trac from the floor plates.
8. All modelse: Working with only one screw at a time, remove
one screw from the bracket, clean the threads with acetone or
a Loctite® cleaner/primer (not provided), then apply 1-2 drops
of Loctite® 242 (blue) threadlocker (provided) and immediately
reinstall the screw. Repeat for all bracket hex and Allen screws.
