5. HEALTH HAZARDS
• User of the tool should always take care of
his and other persons’ safety. The user must
always use personal protective equipment.
• Wear safety goggles, in order to reduce risk
of eye injuries that could be caused by flying
sawdust, dust and sparkles.
• Inhalation of dust can be harmful to health.
Wear a suitable visor or breathing apparatus,
when working in a dusty environment.
• In case of continuous work wear safety glo
-
ves protecting against the cold air.
• In order to avoid eventual aural injuries,
always use ear protection when using the
tool.
• The user must always pay attention to the fact
that continuous use of rotating and impact
producing manual tools could result in baneful
influence on health caused by the vibration.
• Ergonomic load: Work with the tools rela
-
ted to recurrent, monotone movements and
unfavorable body positions may cause back,
scruff, arm, shoulders and other joint injuries.
6. REMEMBER
• Do not wear loose long hair, loose clothing
or jewellery, which could become caught up
in moving parts of the tool and cause injuries
and clothing damages.
• A switched-on tool may be directed towards
the work material only. Loose parts may
disunite and cause damages. A person or an
object may become in contact with the tool,
which could cause an accident or material
loses.
• Cold or wet hands, smoking and snivel may
increase vibration caused hazards.
• Let the tool operate and by holding the hand
-
le use the least possible force. If possible, the
tool should be supported on a stable support
block.
• Interruption of work should be ensured or
another kind of work, not involving use of
vibrating tools should be alternatively perfor-
med, in order to reduce the harmful influence
caused by the vibration.
• Ensure that the workplace is well lit.
7. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Tools must be lubricated
Before use always lubricate the tool with a few
drops of oil intended for use with pneumatic
tools, for example Amoil 15 (Luna No. 15530-
0106), by dropping it into the air inlet opening
of the tool. In case of continuous work, a pneu-
matic lubrication system (Luna No. 20571-
0106) should be used, adjusted to about two
drops per minute.
If the tool is not used for a longer period of
time, it is required to drop a few drops of oil
before storage of the tool, in order to reduce
the corrosion risk.
Attention!
Use only oil that is sup-
posed for pneumatic tools specified
in the operation instructions. Use of
other oils may result in “clumping”
of oil and reduction of the movement
ability of the machine. It may cause
reduced work efficiency.
Leakages must be avoided
Avoid leakages in the air circulation system.
Always use a thread sealing tape at the point
where the pipe is connected to the tool. Pay
attention that hoses and hose fastening clamps
are in good working order.
