2. Fenix strongly recommends using high-performance rechargeable Ni-MH batteries to get
most out of this headlamp. Alkaline batteries will reduce the runtime significantly when works
at High output.
Battery Replacement
1. Take out the lamp from the holder.
2. Unscrew the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode (+) towards the lamp head, and
then screw the tail cap.
3. Put the lamp into the holder.
Assemble the headlamp
Attach the headband to the headlamp as shown by first sliding the band down to the bottom
of the slot, then hooking the top edge under the top slot.
Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the headlamp and will void the
warranty.

Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the
ring with an approved spare.

Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation
during storage or transportation.

Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the headlamp's performance as dirty
contacts may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for
the following reasons:
Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).
