3. MAINTENANCE - STORAGE - ASSISTANCE - DISPOSAL
NOTES
Routine maintenance operations which can be performed by the user are described
below.
Have the edge banding machine repaired by expert personnel only. This edge banding
machine complies with all the relevant safety prescriptions. Repairs to the machine must
be carried out by skilled personnel only using original spare parts. Failure to observe this
recommendation could jeopardize user safety.
DANGER - WARNING
• BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE WORK, PLACE THE EDGE
BANDING MACHINE IN SAFETY CONDITIONS AS DESCRIBED IN HEADING
“SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DURING USE”.
• PLACE THE POWER CABLE IN A COIL NEAR THE EDGE BANDING
MACHINE.
3.1.
LUBRICATION
NOTES
The edge banding machine does not need lubricating.
3.2.
CLEANING - TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
DANGER - WARNING
- BEFORE COMMENCING CLEANING OPERATIONS, PUT ON ADEQUATE
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (SAFETY GLASSES, GLOVES AND
MASK TO PROTECT THE AIRWAYS).
- AVOID USING JETS OF COMPRESSED AIR.
When necessary:
1. Remove any work residues from around the work area and surfaces using a small brush
or vacuum cleaner.
2. Disassemble and clean the extractor fi lter (optional) by tapping it.
Every day:
1. Remove any work residues and dust from the whole machine, using a vacuum cleaner or
a small brush.
2. Clean the power cable.
Once a week:
Disconnect the exhaust fi lter or conduit and thoroughly clean the extractor (optional).
