Mount two new brushes, grinding or polishing tools.
Make sure that the drive pin on the tool holder (

engages in the hole on the disc.
Mount the clamping washer (

) and the clamping
screw (

) with the spring washer (

), and tighten the
clamping screw.
Mount the safety cover (

) and tighten the four screws

) again.
Switch the machine on and check the true running.
In the case of strong vibrations or noise, there
may be an imbalance on the brushes or on the
grinding or polishing tools. Replace out-of-bal-
ance application tools immediately! Pay attention
to the correct rotation direction of the applica-
tion tools!
Adjust the grinding rest (

) to the required height.
Adjust the required gap clearance with the handle
screw (

).

Switching on:
Disengage and fold up the safety pushbutton (

After switching off, the machine runs on for
approx. 50 seconds.
Safety pushbutton:
In situations of danger, press the safety pushbutton to
switch the machine off.
Reversing the speed.
Switch position 1: Low speed
Switch position 2: High speed
The speed may only be reversed with switch (

when the machine is stopped.
Overload protection.
In case of continuous high load over a longer period of
time, the machine is switched off. After a cooling-down
period of approx. 15 minutes, the machine is ready for
operation again.
Working a workpiece (figures 3+4).
Make sure that the safety cover (
15
) is securely closed.
Check the gap clearance of the grinding rest and ensure
that both fastening screws (

) are tightened.
Check the correct adjustment and the tight seating of
the spark guard (
4
).
Select the speed and switch the machine on.
Place the workpiece on the grinding rest and guide it
with both hands.
Extraction device
We recommend the use of an extraction device.
The machine can be connected via sleeve (
17
) to an
exhauster.
Noise emission values.
Repair and customer service.
Repairs may be carried out only by qualified per-
sons in conformity with the valid regulations.
For repairs, we recommend our FEIN customer service
centre, the FEIN authorised service centres and FEIN
agencies.
When the machine's power supply cable is damaged, it
must be replaced using a specially prepared power sup-
ply cable, available from your FEIN customer service
agent.

on the Internet under www.fein.com.
Carry out the following maintenance regularly:
Blow out the cooling-air openings (

motor housing with compressed air.
Remove any deposits in the housing.
