• In order to be an effective warning device, this product produces bright light that can be
hazardous to your eyesight. The possibility exists that rapid flashing lights could induce
photosensitive epilepsy. Do not stare directly at the light.
An Overview of the FB2LED:
FB2LED is a high-
powered LED signal that can be programmed to produce
one of three light patterns: steady, 60 FPM, and 120
FPM (preset to 60 FPM). Unit is available in 12-24VDC
or 120-240VAC UL/cUL Listed. Type 4X, IP66 enclosure.
Electrical ratings: 0.48A - 0.24A (12-24VDC) or 0.03A
(120- 240VAC 50/60Hz). Suitable for indoor or outdoor
use. IP69K compliant. Certified operating temperature:
-49°F to 150°F (-45° to 66°C).
Unpacking the Device: After unpacking the device,
examine it for damage and verify parts. The unit comes with: (1) FB2LED assembled unit with flying
leads, (1) Panel mount gasket, and (3) No. 8 x 1/2" panel mounting tapping screws. If a part is
missing or appears damaged do not attempt to install. Contact Federal Signal Customer Support at

Mounting the Device: Model FB2LED comes standard to mount on a flat (horizontal or vertical)
surface or 1/2" NPT threaded pipe. Vertical wall (LWMB2) or corner (LCMB2) mounting accessories
are sold separately.
• Pipe Mounting – Model FB2LED can be pipe mounted on a 1/2" NPT pipe. Feed wires
through pipe and turn clockwise to tighten. Recommended tightening torque is 5-ft-lbs (6.8 N-m).
• Surface/Panel Mounting – Using provided gasket as a template, mark three mounting holes
and center hole for wiring. Drill or punch 0.188" (5.0mm) diameter holes for mounting and a
.88" (22.0mm) for wiring. Set base on gasket, feed wires through center hole, and attach to the
mounting surface using provided No. 8 tapping screws from the underside.
