To achieve electrical supervision:
Mounting the Device:
Units come standard to mount 1/2" NPT threaded pipe. Model 225XST-N
must be mounted in a dome up position to resist water and debris accumulation and maintain the
NSF Certification.
To comply with NEC Section 300-14, which requires a minimum of 6" of free conductor at a junction, the pipe
used to join the unit to a splice box should be no longer than 10".
Wall mounting bracket (LHWB) is sold separately and is intended for use with models 224XST, 225XST and
225XST-I only. LHWB is not NSF Certified and incompatible for use with model 225XST-N.
Pipe Mount:
Feed wires through pipe and turn clockwise to tighten. To prevent connection from loosening,
tighten fixture to a minimum of 5ft.-lbs. (6.8Nm) after threading onto pipe.
Testing and Operating:
After installation, test the unit to verify operation and establish program for periodic
testing. Provide copy of instructions to all operating personnel.
Ordering Replacement Parts and Accessories:
Consult product datasheet online for an updated list of
replacement parts. If product requires a part that is not available for purchase, your unit must be repaired or
replaced. The product’s dome should be regularly inspected for scratches or chips and if damaged, it must be
replaced. A strap wrench (6” capacity) may be used to aid in dome removal.

Repair Service:
A return authorization is required. Contact your Authorized Distributor or Federal Signal
Customer Support. Defective products under warranty will be repaired or replaced at Federal Signal’s
discretion. Lamp failures excluded.
