
- The compressors working pressure is the figure indicated on the pressure gauge when a tool is in
use. This figure will differ with each different airbrush used. An airbrush with a larger nozzle will
use more air than one with a smaller nozzle. Always check the air requirements of any tool before
using it for the first time.
- The bottom of the regulator filter is a water release valve, use this at any time to release any
moisture build-up.
General Safety Instructions
- Users must choose the correct air compressor, with suitable air flow and pressure, for the tool and
work requirement.
- Before connecting the compressor, check the main voltage is compatible with the compressor
motor.
- This compressor has suction pad feet. These are design to stop the compressor from sliding
around on a flat, level surface only and are NOT intended for using on angled or vertical surfaces.
- Follow all HSE guidelines on electrical tools and their use as well as your own Electrical Health &
Safety Policy. Always use an earthed electrical supply.
- Switch off compressor before disconnecting airbrush.
- Never leave your compressor exposed to dust, acids vapors, explosive or flammable gases, rain,
sun, fog or snow.
- Ensure all air hoses cannot be twisted, pinched or damaged.
- The compressor cylinder head warms up whilst in use and stays hot after use. Take extreme care
when handling compressor.
- Turn off compressor when not in use or connected to airbrush
- The vacuum pump must be used in a well ventilated environment in temperatures between 5 and
40
o
C.
- Before moving compressor, disconnect it from the plug socket. NEVER carry it by the power lead.
- DO NOT use this appliance with wet hands or your feet.
- DO NOT allow children to use or play with this tool.
- DO NOT open or tamper with any part of this compressor. Repairs can and must only be carried
out by an authorised service centre.
- Always spray in a well ventilated area.
Electrical Safety Instructions
The owner and/or the operator MUST read, understand and comply all points listed below.
- You MUST check all electrical products, before use, to ensure that they are safe.
- You MUST inspect plugs, sockets, power leads and any other connectors for wear or damage.
- You MUST have any worn or damaged plugs, sockets and power leads replaced immediately
upon discovery.
- You MUST ensure that the risk of electric shock is minimised by the installation of appropriate
safety devices.
- A Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) should be incorporated in the main distribution board.
- If no RCCB is fitted, use of a Residual Current Device (RCD) is strongly recommended. If you are
unsure, speak to a qualified electrician and have an RCCB fitted if necessary.
- RCDs are available from most electrical retailers.
- The Electricity at Work Act 1989 requires that all portable electrical appliances, if used on
business premises, to be tested by a qualified electrician, using a Portable Appliance Tester
(PAT), at least once a year.
- The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 makes owners of electrical appliances responsible for the
safe condition of those appliances and the safety of the appliance operators. If in any doubt about
electrical safety, seek advice from the governing body or independent electrical training providers.
- Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance are safe and intact before
connecting it to the power supply.
