Leveling The Bale Carrier

With the bale carrier attached to the tractor, lower the
jack from the transport position. Using the handle (Item
1)
[Figure 30] on the jack, raise the jack until the weight
of the bale carrier is on the jack. This will allow the clevis
mounting bolts to be loosened and moved for leveling (if
required).

With the two hitch beams evenly supported, loosen the
three clevis mounting bolts (Item 1)
[Figure 31] .
Raise or lower the jack until the bale carrier frame is
parallel with the ground. Raise or lower the clevis (Item 2)
[Figure 31] and align the closest clevis mounting holes
with frame. Install the three bolts.
Tighten the three clevis mounting bolts to the correct
torque and raise the jack into the storage position.
The bale carrier frame must be adjusted down or up
until the bale carrier is parallel with the ground prior
to operation.
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Wear safety glasses to prevent eye injury when any
of the following conditions exist:
• When fluids are under pressure.
• Flying debris or loose material is present.
• Engine is running.
• Tools are being used.

Place one support stand under the two hitch beams,
to evenly support the hitch beams. The two hitch
beams pivot independent from each other. Hitch
beam without jack will drop to the ground.

The objective of adjusting the hitch height is to
bring the tipping frame firmly on the ground when
unloading, but not hard enough to transfer
excessive machine weight onto the tipping frame.
