Assembly - Round Bale Carrier 2400
Adjusting Pick Up Arm Forks

Fully raise the pick up arm [Figure 23] .

Install a strap (Item 1) around the inner fork arm (Item 2)
[Figure 24] . Connect the strap to an approved lifting
device.
Loosen the two 5/8” x 6” bolts (Item 3) [Figure 22] .
Lower the inner fork arm to the desired height above the
carrier deck.
Tighten the two 5/8” x 6” bolts to secure the inner fork
arm to the pick up arm.
Remove lifting strap.
Fully lower the pick up arm.

Loosen the two 5/8” x 6” bolts (Item 1) and move the RH
fork with deflector (Item 2)
[Figure 25] to the desired
distance.
Adjust the RH fork with deflector per bale sizes
below:
Verify that all hardware / bolted connections on the pick
up arm are torqued according to the specifications of the
bolt chart. (See “HARDWARE TORQUE VALUES” on
page 101.)
First time operation:
• Approach the bale and check bale diameter, to
ensure the fork spacing is correct.
• Cycle the pick up arm slowly with a bale and inspect
just before lifting bale from ground.
• Finish the cycle and observe how the bale transfers
from the forks to the carrier beam. If transfer is
smooth with minimum bale binding, assembly is
completed. If not, adjust the forks to a different
location and try until loading is smooth.

Depending on the diameter of the bale, adjust the
inner fork so that the bale just clears the carrier
when it is lifted.
