SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
TOASTER
Read these safety instructions carefully before
using your appliance and keep safe for future
reference.
• This appliance can be used by children aged
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack
of experience or knowledge, on the condition
that they have been given supervision or
instructions for using the appliance in a safe
way and understand the dangers involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance by the user must
not be carried out by children unless they are
over 8 years of age and are supervised.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales
service or a similarly qualified person to avoid
any hazards.
• Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach
of children under 8 years of age.
• The appliance is not designed to be used in
conjunction with a separate timer or with a
remote control system.
• This appliance is designed to be used for
domestic and similar purposes such as:
– kitchens used by employees in shops, offices
and other working environments;
– farms;
– use by guests in hotels, motels and other
residential environments;
– other bed and breakfast-type
accommodation;
• This appliance is not designed to be used in
the following applications:
– catering and other similar applications
including retail.
• Bread can burn. Consequently, do not use the
toaster in close proximity to or underneath
combustible materials such as curtains.
• The temperature of adjacent surfaces may be
raised when the appliance is on.

Surfaces are likely to heat up during
use.
• Never insert pieces of bread that are too thick
into the toaster as this may jam the lifting
mechanism and cause a fire.
• Ensure that you regularly clean-out the crumb
tray, or risk burning the crumbs and causing a
fire.
