SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these safety instructions carefully before
using your appliance and keep safe for future
reference.
• This appliance is designed to be used for
domestic and similar purposes such as:
– kitchens used by employees in shops, offices
and other working environments;
– farms;
– use by guests in hotels, motels and other
residential environments;
– other bed and breakfast-type
accommodation;
• This appliance is not designed to be used in
the following applications:
– catering and other similar applications
including retail.
• This appliance can be used by children aged
8 years or over, on the condition that they
are supervised or that they have received
instructions on how to use the appliance in
total safety and that they fully understand the
dangers related to the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance by the user must not be carried
out by children, unless they are aged 8 years or
over and only under adult supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach
of children under 8 years of age.
• This appliance can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities
or those with a lack of experience and
knowledge, if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and as long as they understand
the hazards involved.
• Children must not use the appliance as a toy.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales
service or a similarly qualified person to avoid
any hazards.
• If the kettle has been over-filled, boiling water
may be ejected.
• WARNING: Position the lid in such a way
that the steam is not directed toward the
handle.
• WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the
water is boiling.
