Care Tips for Timber Products
Following the general care instructions below will help extend the life of
your product and keep them looking their best!
Timbers are a natural product and can require a little bit more maintenance
to help keep them looking fresh and new. Exposure to the elements will
cause all timbers to dry out over time, which may lead to some minor split-
ting on the surface. This is completely normal and not a product fault.
To keep the product looking new applying some pure Tung or Linseed oil
over all exposed timber parts will help rejuvenate the timber and minimise
any splitting or cracking. We recommend you do this at least once a year
before summer starts. Remember to test the oil first in a non-conspicuous
area, as it may impact the colour of the finish.
To increase the lifespan of your product we discourage prolonged or exces-
sive exposure to sunlight and other inclement weather, as well as substanc-
es like suntan oils and heavily chlorinated water as this may cause products
to fade, dry out or speed up the effects of wear and tear.
