4.3 J7 / J8 USB host
All USB ports follow the USB 2.0 specification.
With a Hub, the single USB-Port of the efus module is expanded to four USB Ports (A - D).
Port A & B are connected to the USB Host front connector. USB Port C is connected to a 4
pin header. USB Port D is connected to the mPCIE connector.
The 90 Ohm differential pair of USB signals doesn’t need any termination. For external ports,
EMV protection is required nearby the USB connector.
The usb.org webpage provides “High Speed USB Platform Design Guidelines“ with highly
recommended information for a proper working USB design.
If a USB port is not used, please leave it open.
