Connect the IVM-Touch as follows:
1. Open the cover.
2. Connect the IVM-Touch to the manual switch.
3. Connect the manual switch to the main supply (be sure power is disconnected).
4. Connect the IVM-Touch to the climate controller with I/O-network (see paragraph "Interior IVM-Touch 24Vac"
page 19 or paragraph "Interior IVM-Touch 230Vac" page 21).
5. Connect the IVM-Touch to the fan (see paragraph "Interior IVM-Touch 24Vac" page 19 or paragraph "Interior
IVM-Touch 230Vac" page 21).
6. Set the dipswitches on the circuit boards (see paragraph "Set the dipswitch settings" page 11).
7. Close the cover and fasten screws.
Always use the cable gland when connecting the IVM-Touch. Use the sealing discs supplied to seal
off any unused cable glands. Use a sealant to seal all cable glands, after the computer has been
connected, to prevent the entry of moisture, dust and/or aggressive gasses.
Check that the mains voltage and frequency, for which this Fancom controller is suitable (see
chapter Technical Specifications in this manual), correspond to the mains voltage and frequency on
site.
Be sure that the IVM-Touch is properly grounded. When using metal cable trays, grounding at one
point of the tray is recommended.
The IVM-Touch should be possible to shut down with a suitable double pole switch which is easily
accessible.
Connect the IVM-Touch to a group from the main distributor and mount the cables in separate cable
trays.
Limit the length of the signal wires much as possible; avoid crossing high/low voltage wires.
Condensation should never occur in the controller.
All cables which are connected to the mains supply must have a cross-sectional area of at least 2.5
mm

(AWG 14).
If the power supply to the IVM-Touch fails, the power outage relay will switch off. If you use the IVM-
Touch 24Vac the IVM-Touch can be powered using the Power Failure Box (PFB).
