6. Connections and setup

The Active System

1. Connections

use the included power cord to connect the device to a power source. adjust the control knob MasteR VOluMe accordingly.

Microphones and instrument with a low input level can be connected to the combo jack MiC/inst. this jack fits XlR (microphones)

as well as jack plugs (e.g. guitars). the volume of the channel can be adjusted via the gain control knob. the RCa jacks taPe l/R

can be used for Cd’s, dat’s or tapes. the gain control knob adjusts the volume of these parameters.

the line in and lOOP tHRu jacks connect mixers, monitors (line Out or Monitor Out) and instruments with a higher input level.

Both jacks are connected in parallel and only differ in their shape. to connect a passive speaker you can use the speakon jack

eXteRnal sPeaKeR. Please note that only one speaker at 8 Ohms impedance can be connected. Connection of a 4 Ohms speaker

or multiple 8 Ohms speakers is not allowed.

the desired sound adjustments can be made via the control knobs lOW and HigH. the position of the MasteR VOluMe knob

defines the overall volume. the overload indicator PeaK lights up in order to indicate distortions within the preamp and works

independently from the MasteR VOluMe knob. the lOW Cut switch has to be activated when an active speaker is operated in

combination with an active bass cabinet. the reproduced bass frequencies coming from the active bass are now suppressed by the

lOW Cut switch.

2. Setup

the active speaker can be used as a floor monitor or as a fullrange active system. For both applications, the sides of the device

have rubber feet. a speaker flange is located on the longside for use on a pole socket.

the active monitor is equipped with a 12“ speaker and a 3/4“ (60x40) compression driver with tweeter.

the power output of the power amp is 200 W RMs at 4 Ohms.
