Instructions for use
DESCRIPTION
: FS906 also known as 2-Safe is a personal evacuation system device. It is important that you read this
manual carefully and fully understood before you use it.
2-Safe is tested and aproved to EN341 CLASS D for one time
use only!
Should only be used by trained and competent person.
Personal Inspection of the Equipment before use
The seal is intact?
There is visible damage on the equipment?
There is visible damage on other equipment to be used with the 2-SAFE?
The descent line is not long enough for the actual descent?
If you detect any of this situatons, do not use, contact the manufacturer.
Storage / Transport
The 2-SAFE must not be exposed to chemicals, it shall be protected from strong heat, UV light, High Humidity, Sharp edges
or other influences that can affect the security of the equipment during the storage and transporting. It must also be protected
against falls, crush and shock damages. It is important that the line is stored in the bag, away from light.
Maintenance/ Control of Equipment
The bag should be inspected for external damages each year. All periodic inspections must be logged. All inspections,
reparations or alterations have to be done by approved competent person by the manufacturer. Always do the personal
inspection before use. Should not be used if the seal is broken.
Restriction of use
The 2-SAFE can be used once.
The 2-SAFE approved for one or two persons / 150kg. The decent height is 15 or 40 metres.
The anchor points must accept loads of at least 10 kN or be approved according to EN795
The anchor sling and the line, must not lie over sharp edges that might cause damage or cut.
Lifespan
If stored and maintained according to these instructions the 2-SAFE have to be inspected and re-certified by a body approved
by the manufacturer after 5 years. If in doubt of the safe funtion of a component the
2-SAFE shall be withdrawn from service.
