INTRODUCTION
This manual is a reference guide for the installation of Trans-Lux LED goal light
assembly. It includes information for typical installation. These instructions may need to
be altered for your installation. If further help is needed, you may contact your local
Trans-Lux representative or the Trans-Lux Customer Service Department at 1-800-747-
5305 or 1-800-462-2716.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LED GOAL LIGHT
The first step in installing your new LED goal light will be to determine the size of your
backboard.
The LED goal lights are assembled for a 72” x 42” backboard.
If your backboard measures 72” x 48” you must change the side reflector and
cover.
To change the side pieces (for a 48” backboard):
Remove the side pieces and remove the bottom cover.
Carefully remove the LED rope from the bottom reflector and insert it into the
outside holes in the bottom reflector.
Reassemble the goal light with the longer side pieces.
The hanger plates attached to the top and bottom need to be rotated.
Remove the screws and replace the hanger plates so they are pointed in the correct
direction, top ones point up and the bottom one point down.
With everything assembled hold the assembly up to the back side of the backboard,
With the LED light rope 6” down from the top of the backboard and 5” in from
both sides using the self-tapping screws or the rivets provided to attach the metal
brackets to the extrusion of the backboard.
Trim any part of the mounting bracket that extends out to far and may interfere
with a basketball or players.
The final step is to use cable ties to tie up the lose cable and plug the LED goal
light into your shot clock goal light receptacle.
