4. HOW TO USE YOUR BLENDER
• With the blender fully assembled and the
switch set to 0, plug the appliance into the
mains socket and set the switch to 1 (fig.
8).
• Select the fruit and/or vegetables you
wish to blend, peel (in the case of citrus
fruit, watermelons, pineapples, kiwi fruit,
etc.), chop and remove any stones (in the
case of cherries, apricots, peaches,
plums, etc.) before tipping them into the
feeder opening.
• Use the push-rod to gently push the fruit
and/or vegetables down into the machine
(fig. 9).
Never use your fingers to push food
into the blender.
• When you have finished blending, set the
switch to zero and unplug the appliance
from the mains socket.
If you need to remove the lid between
uses, switch the appliance off by
setting the switch to 0.
Warning: check that the switch is set to 0
when the appliance is not in use.
• Stop blending when the peel/pulp
deposit and/or juice glass are full.
• To remove the juice glass and peel/pulp
deposit, stop the machine and remove the
lid.
3. BEFORE USING FOR
THE FIRST TIME
Before using your blender for the first time,
wash and rinse the push-rod (A), lid (C),
filter (D), filter holder (E), peel/pulp deposit
(H) and juice glass (I). To do this,
disassemble the blender following the
instructions given below:
1. Check that the appliance is unplugged
and the switch set to 0.
2. Remove the push-rod (A) from the lid (fig.
1).
3. Release the 2 levers (K) that hold the lid
in place by gently pulling their lower
halves outwards (fig.2).
4. Lift the lid and remove the filter and filter
holder by pulling upwards (fig. 3).
5. Remove the peel/pulp deposit and take
out the container base (J) from inside
(fig.4).
To reassemble the blender, simply reverse
the procedure described above:
1. Replace the peel/pulp deposit (fig 4).
2. Slot the filter holder back into the main
body of the appliance, and fit the filter
into place by pushing down on the plastic
edge. Twist to check that it is properly
assembled (fig. 5).
Note: Avoid touching the metallic
component at the base of the filter as this
could be dangerous. Nor should you
apply pressure to the metallic side mesh
as it is easily deformed.
3. Place the juice glass in its proper position
and check that it is correctly lined up with
the filter holder’s juice outlet funnel (fig. 6).
If you wish to use a different container instead
of the juice glass supplied with the appliance,
Technical Assistance Service. Always
demand the use of original spare parts.
Any failure to follow the above instructions
could affect the safe functioning of the
appliance.
• Keep these instructions in a safe place for
future reference.
place the base (J) in its correct position and
rest the container on top (fig. 6A).
4. Replace the lid, ensuring that it is
correctly positioned. Click the two
supporting levers into place by pushing
inwards (fig. 7). Never force the lid when
closing.
5. The appliance has a safety mechanism
which prevents the machine from working if
the two levers are not properly in place. Do
not use this mechanism as an On/Off switch
to start and stop the machine.
Note: The switch must be set to 0 before
disassembling the appliance, otherwise it
will not work when reassembled.
