Virus Scanning
Specify inbound, outbound and internal messages and attachments that
should be scanned for malicious code.
Do Not Notify on
These Attachments
Specify attachments that do not generate
notifications. When the product finds specified
file or file extension, no notification is sent.
Notify Administrator
Specify whether the administrator is notified
when the product strips an attachment and the
alert level of the notification..
Configure the Alert Forwarding table to specify
where the alert is sent based on the severity
level. The Alert Forwarding table can be found
in:
F-Secure Management Agent/Settings/Alerting.
Disabling virus scanning disables archive processing and grayware
scanning as well.
Scan Messages for
Viruses
Enable or disable the virus scan. The virus scan
scans messages for viruses and other malicious
code.
List of Attachments to
Scan
Specify attachments that are scanned for
viruses. For more information, see “

Use Exclusions
Specify attachments that are not scanned.
Leave the list empty if you do not want to
exclude any attachments from the scan.
Heuristic Scanning
Enable or disable the heuristic scan. The
heuristic scan analyzes files for suspicious code
behavior so that the product can detect unknown
malware.
