2. Loosen and remove the four clamping screws (23).
3.
Lift the knives (25) and knife block (24) from the
cutter block.
4.
Remove the chips and any resin from the cutter
block and knife support.
5.
Place new knives into the cutter block and
fix them with the rectangle slots in both set
screws (26).
NOTE:
With these two screws, height-adjustment of
the knife is done.
WARNING:
Only use knives which are recommended by the
manufacturer for this equipment.
6.
Place the knife block onto the cutter block.
7. Slightly tighten the four clamping bolts.
8.
Repeat these actions for the second knife.
9.
Place the blade adjustment block (18), as
shown in Fig. 19, on the knife block. Make sure
that the knife touches both sides of the blade
adjustment block.
10.
By the two set screws (26), the knife can be ad-
justed for height.
11.
After a successful knife setting, all clamping
screws must be tightened.
NOTE:
Sharp knives guarantee a clean machined surface
and put less stress on the motor. After three
grinding actions in a row, a maximum material
removal of 3 x 0.05 mm should not be exceeded.
The blades used on this machine are not suitable
for rebating and dovetailing.
12.
Lower the cutter block guard again onto the
table. Cover the cutter block and block it with
the star grip screw.
POWER CORD
To avoid shock or fire hazard, if the power cord
is worn or cut, or damaged in any way, have it re
-
place immediately.
Defective electrical connection cables:
Electrical connection cables often suffer insula-
tion damage. Possible causes are:
1. Punch points when connection cables are run
through window or door gaps.
2.
Kinks resulting from incorrect attachment or
laying of the connection cable.
3. Cuts resulting from running over the con
-
necting cable.
4. Insulation damage resulting from force
-
fully pulling out of the wall socket.
5.
Cracks through aging of insulation.
Such defective electrical connection cables must
not be used as the insulation damage makes them
extremely hazardous.
LUBRICATION
Periodically lubricate moving parts. Do not oil the
motor.
The threaded spindle for height-adjustment of
the machining table may only be treated with a
dry lubricant agent.
CLEANING
Use a small soft brush to clean the outside of the
unit. Do not use strong detergents. Household
cleaners that contain aromatic oils such as pine
and lemon and solvents such as kerosene can
damage plastic housing or handle. Wipe off any
moisture with a soft cloth. Remove dust, dirt and
machining residues with an appropriate vacuum
cleaner if necessary.
STORAGE
WARNING:
Turn the switch off and remove the plug from
power source outlet to store the machine. Store
the unit only in dry and well ventilated areas.
In case the unit will be stored for an extended
time, use the following storage procedure:
1. Thoroughly clean the unit and inspect for any
loose or damaged parts. Repair or replace dam-
aged parts and tighten loose screws, nuts or
bolts.
2. Lubricate and apply grease, where required.
3.
Store the unit in its original packaging.

at an authorized collecting point for the recycling
of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Im
-
proper handling of waste equipment may have
negative consequences for the environment and
human health due to potentially hazardous sub
-
stances that are often contained in electrical and
electronic equipment. By properly disposing of
this product, you are also contributing to the ef
-
fective use of natural resources.
You can obtain information on collection points
for waste equipment from your municipal admin
