Very important:
a)
do not exceed the maximum payload of the
respective ladder type;
b) do not lean too far beyond the ladder; Users
should secure their belt buckles (the navel)
between the spars and stand on the same step/
rung with both feet;
c) do not climb away from a landing ladder
without an additional safety device, for example,
an attachment or deploy a suitable device to
ensure the device stability.
d) do not use stepladders to climb onto another
level;
e) do not use the top three steps/rungs of a
single ladder as a standing base;
f) do not use the upper two steps/rungs of a
stepladder without a platform and a hand/knee
support as a stepping base;
g) ladders should be used only for light work of
short duration;
h) use non-conductive ladders for unavoidable
work under electrical voltage;
i) do not use the ladder is not outdoors in
unfavourable weather conditions, e.g. strong
winds
j) take precautions to prevent children from
playing on the ladder
k) if possible, lock doors and windows (except
for emergency exits) in the working area
l)
climb and descend the ladder with your face
towards it
m) while climbing and descending the ladder,

n) do not use the ladder as a bridge

should be extend beyond the landing point for
at least 1 metre
s) do not carry objects which are heavy and
difficult to handle when climbing a ladder
t) work which causes a lateral stress on
stepladders, for example, avoid lateral drilling of
solid materials (e.g. masonry or concrete)
u) securing with one hand when working on a
ladder. If this is not possible, take additional
safety precautions
In any case,
Repairs and maintenance work on a ladder must
be performed by a qualified person and
according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Ladders should be stored in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
