Read all of manual to become thoroughly familiar with this vehicle. Pay particular attention to all Notes, Cautions and Warnings
correctly installed. Insert cover into the lower portion of
the enclosure and swing it up into place. Squeeze hous-
ing together and secure with top clips. Be sure cover fits
under tabs and all clips are fastened securely.
Cleaning the Air Filter Element
Do not use compressed air to clean the
air filter; doing so will damage the filter
which may result in damage to the engine.
If the element is in acceptable condition, loose dirt may
be removed by tapping the filter lightly. Do not use oil on
the filter element or any part of the unit.
Canister Type Air Cleaner
The air cleaner element is accessible by unsnapping the
clips on the air canister and removing the cover and air
filter element (Ref. Fig. 39 on page 23). Clean inside of
cover, canister and dust collector. Install the element and
cover the same way they were removed. Be sure the
positioning arrow on cover is pointing upward and all
clips are fastened securely.

the filter element or any part of the unit. Install the ele-
ment in the same way it was removed, being sure that
the clips are fastened securely.
LUBRICATION
Do not use more than three (3) pumps
of grease in any grease fitting at any
one time. Excess grease may cause grease seals to fail or
grease migration into areas that could damage components.
Putting more than three pumps of grease in a grease fit-
ting could damage grease seals and cause premature
bearing failure (Ref. Fig. 40 on page 23).

Use care not to over-tighten the plug.
Over-tightening can cause damage to
the aluminum cylinder head threads.
