READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION.
•

WARNING - RISK OF SHOCK - DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING or SERVICING SYSTEM.

•

WARNING - Do not drape power cords over the system to avoid damage to cord.

•

WARNING - Avoid looking directly at the LEDs to prevent eye damage.

•

CAUTION - Product has sharp edges. Handle with care to avoid injury.

•

CAUTION - RISK OF BURN: Driver enclosure, LED boards and heat sink may be hot. Do

not touch system when in operation or during cool-off period.

•  The installation and use of the system is the responsibility of the end user. Incorrect use or

installation can lead to injury or death.

•  Always adhere to the applicable electrical code, local rules and regulations when installing

or using the system.

•  DO NOT open or disassemble the system, it contains no serviceable parts inside. Opening

the system and can cause electrical shock or electrocution.

•  Use only with power cord supplied. DO NOT use the system when either its power cord or an

exposed wire is damaged. If cord of LED 700-ESib is damaged, it should be replaced with an
original EYE HORTILUX power cord.

•  Only connect the system to an electrical outlet or extension cord of appropriate type

and rating. Connect the system only to the power sources of the correct voltage using
the plug received.

•  DO NOT modify power cords. Modifications to the power cords can lead to mechanical or

electrical failure including open or short circuits.

•  Avoid coiled cords. Coiled cords may lead to electromagnetic interference.
•  DO NOT pull the power cord to unplug the system, pull the plug only.
•  DO NOT lift the system by any power cords.
•  DO NOT hang system by power cord.
•  DO NOT use the system near flammable, explosive or reactive substances.
•  DO NOT spray or use chemical solvents around the fixture. The use of chemicals could

damage the fixture and would void the warranty.

•  Allow 30 minute cool down before handling the system.
•  Make sure system is properly supported with supporting chains and/or hooks.
•  DO NOT mount system directly touching any surface (maintain at least 3” from the

top of the system to mounting surface).

•  DO NOT submerge system in water. System is suitable for damp location use and designed

to meet IP65. System is splash proof, but not waterproof. In the event the system becomes
submerged, first disengage the circuit breaker, then unplug the system before removing it
from water. System is not suitable for outdoor locations.

•  DO NOT operate in ambient temperatures above 95°F/35°C. Note: Maintain the

temperature within the growing space below 86°F/30°C, otherwise ventilation/cooling
system may be required.

•  It is possible to run multiple LED 700-ESib systems on one circuit. To determine the

maximum number of systems a circuit can run, consult a licensed electrician and review the
current and voltage specifications in this document. Ensure the total circuit load does not
exceed the circuit rating.

SYSTEM INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE:  Inspect system for defects prior to installation. If defects are noticed do

not install and contact the manufacturer immediately.

1.  Remove LED 700-ESib from packaging. Inspect for damage. If damage is

noted, do not attempt to install or operate.

2.  Install fixture reflectors: Place fixture on a flat surface with LED arrays

facing up. Remove film from each reflector. Align flat plane on reflector

edge with the flat plane on the heatsink of the fixture. Depress retaining

tab with reflector

(Figure 1)

and slide reflector into heatsink. Slide

reflectors in just until retaining tab snaps back into place.

(Figure 2)

Repeat for second side. Note: Retaining tabs will deform if impacted by

reflecting assemblies. Use of reflectors is optional, but recommended

for best uniformity and light output.

3.  The LED 700-ESib is intended to be hung using the four (4) mounting

holes on the fixture and the driver with the included hardware.

(Figure 3)

If not using included hardware, use mounting hardware suitable for the

surface involved. Attach chain or wire capable of supporting 100 lbs.

4.  Hang LED 700-ESib fixture no closer than 3 feet above the plant canopy

for optimal growing.

 (Figure 4)

Hanging height of less than 3 feet is

not recommended as plant growth and light uniformity will suffer. If

hanging more than one system, ensure the edge-to-edge distance

between systems is greater than 6 inches.

5.  Hang LED 700-ESib driver above or inline with fixture.
6.  Connect driver to fixture: Plug female end of the DC power cord into

the fixture.

(Figure 5)

Plug male end of DC power cord into the driver.

(Figure 6)

To do so, rotate cord end to match key alignment of the

socket. Push cord end in firmly until it clicks. To release cord, push down

on metal clip and gently pull from socket.

7.  Connect driver to power: Plug female end of the input power cord into

the driver with same alignment instructions as step 5.

(Figure 7)

Plug male

end of the input power cord into the electrical outlet. If using a hardwire

cord, consult a qualified electrician for correct supply termination. Use

a suitably rated NEMA connector or hardwire (Black to Line, White to

Neutral, Green to Ground)

8.  The LED 700-ESib is now ready for operation.

The LED 700-ESib will only turn on or off out of the box. You must use a

controller or external control system in order to dim by connecting the

driver to the controller with the included RJ cables. Follow controller

instructions for proper installation.
