Firmware Upgrades

Within the DSP Configurator software, the Firmware Loader option (click 

Tools > 

Firmware Loader

) opens the Extron Firmware Loader application, allowing the user to 

to load new firmware to their device, through either serial or USB connection.

In order for the Firmware Loader option to work, you must have the Firmware Loader 
application installed.

To download Firmware Loader from the Extron website

:

1. 

Open an Internet browser window and in the 

Address

 field, enter  

www.extron.com

.

2. 

In the 

Search

 field, enter

 

Firmware Loader

.

3. 

Press <Enter> on your keyboard.

4. 

Locate the Firmware Loader application in the search results and click 

Download 

Now!

5. 

Complete the personal information form, if necessary.

6. 

Click 

Download 

fw_loader_vxxxxx.exe

 to begin the download.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the download.

about using Firmware Loader.

Updating Firmware

NOTES:

 

• 

Before updating the firmware through DSP Configurator, the Firmware

 

   Loader application must be installed on your PC.

You can download current firmware updates from the Firmware Download 

   Center page of the Extron website. This file downloads onto your PC.

Firmware Loader

New Firmware for Selected 

Devices
