Installation of the AVTrac can be divided into six main sections:

Step 1 — Before Getting Started

Decide where the Track will be placed (pages 4 and 5) and, if necessary, prepare

the site.
Open the two boxes containing the AVTrac kit and identify all the items provided 

 

†

(pages 2 and 3).
Gather any additional tools needed for installation (page 6).

 

†

Step 2 — Install Track

Remove existing carpeting (page 7).

 

†

If cables will be run through a drywall cavity, cut a hole in drywall (page 8).

 

†

Measure and cut track pieces (page 9).

 

†

Secure the track to the floor (pages 10 and 11).

 

†

Step 3 — Install Connectivity Box

Remove the top cover and end plates from connectivity box (page 10) and place 

 

†

the box on the track (page 12).
Secure the connectivity box to the track and floor (page 12).

 

†

Step 4 — Install AC Power Module

If necessary, wire the AC power receptacle (page 13).

 

†

Seat and secure AC power module in connectivity box (page 14).

 

†

Run AC conduit and connect to junction box (page 14).

 

†

Step 5 — Install Architectural Adapter Plates

Install AAPs in connectivity box cover panel (page 15).

 

†

Run and connect cables to the AAPs (page 15).

 

†

Reattach the end plates and cover panel (page 15).

 

†

Step 6 — Finishing Up

Snap on cover track (page 16).

 

†

Cut and glue carpet to side and end ramps (pages 16 and 17).

 

†

Trim wall baseboards and apply carpet or rubber strip finish to cover track 

 

†
