Media Types and Distances
Table 1-2 describes the media types and distances for the different types of Summit
switch ports.
*Extreme Networks proprietary. Connections between two Extreme Networks 1000BASE-LX interfaces can use a maximum
distance of 10,000 meters. However, it interoperates with standard 1000BASE-LX ports and supports a maximum distance of
5,000 meters.
