the PCI bus. The EX

42032IS provides two 9 pin high speed RS

232/422/485 serial
ports. It uses data transfer rates up to 921Kbaud/s. The EX
-
42032IS design utilizes the
FTDI chipset with 256
-
byte buffer, which incorporates the latest in high speed interface
technology. In combination with the fast PCI bus it provides a secure and very high data
transfer on each port. It supports PCI & PCI
-
X slots with 3.3V and 5Volt. It is not possi-
ble to change the address or IRQ settings manually, they will be obtained automatically
by the system BIOS and operating system. The serial ports can be configured as RS
-
232, RS
-
422, RS
-
485 2

wire. Furthermore, the EX

42032IS is equip-
ped with 15KV ESD Surge Protection and 2.5KV Optical Isolation.
