CLEANING
For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pressure. In
the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth remain in the connect-
ors.
Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

HARDWARE
INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PC
’
s, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX
-
1098. Please refer your computers reference manual whenever in doubt.
1.
Switch off your computer and all connected peripheral devices. Unplug all devices from the
power supply. Carefully remove the case of your desktop PC (you may have to loosen the
screws of the case first). Now look for a free PCI Express slot.
2.
Now plug the EX
-
1098 into the selected PCI
-
Express slot. Make sure that the card is inserted
correctly, so that a danger of a short circuit can be excluded! Afterwards fix the EX
-
1098 with a
screw to the case.
3.
Now you can close the case of your PC again.
4.
After you case is closed, you can install your PCI cards into the optionally available EX
-
1012.
5.
Now connect the USB
-
C cable to the EX
-
1098 and the optionally available EX
-
1012.
6.
Finally, connect the included power supply of the optionally available EX
-
1012 to the expansi-
on box.
Important!!! Always switch on the external expansion of Exsys before you switch on the
PC and only after the PC has been completely shut down. Otherwise installed cards may
not be recognized correctly! A Hot
-
Plug & Play function does not support the EX
-
1098!
DRIVER INSTALLATION
All Operating Systems
No manual driver installation is necessary to install the EX

1098, because the drivers are
included in all operating systems and are installed automatically after installation of the EX

1098.
