STEP 1 – FOR JL & JLU INSTALL FRONT BOLTS FIRST (8-00-9914)
Hardware:
For Bolt Positions 1 and 2,
1)
Remove Jeep OE Bolts and washer (x4)
2)
Replace with EXR Bolts (A) (x4) and Washer (C) (x4)
Use Allen Key (E) to hand tighten, snug. Do not overtighten.
3)
Thread one Nut (B) on top of each EXR bolt and tighten down (x4). Do not overtighten.
4)
Place one Washers (C) on top of each EXR Bolt & Nut (x4)
5)
Place Front brackets (8-00-9914) in position on both sides (see picture for reference).
!!! WARNING !!! FRONT CROSSBAR MUST BE POSITIONED CLOSE TO FRONT WINDSHIELD. SERIOUS INJURY CAN
OCCUR IF BAR IS WRONGLY PLACED OVER DRIVER / PASSENGER HEAD. CHECK BRACKETS ARE ON CORRECT SIDES.
6)
Place Washers (C) on top of each bolt (x4)
7)
Thread Lock Nuts (D) on top of each bolt (x4). Tighten, but do not overtighten.
