- Bed clothes should not be folded back when the blanket is switched on. Do not
leave heavy objects on the bed when the unit is switched on.
- Arrange the blanket so that it is not beneath pillows and / or bolsters.
- Do not immerse in water.
- Do not dry-clean this blanket; cleaning liquids may have a harmful effect on the
insulation or covering of the heating unit. It is recommended you follow care &
maintenance instructions for cleaning.
- Persons suffering from habitual bed-wetting should not use this electric blanket.
- If any abnormality or defect in operation of this blanket is observed, discontinue
its use immediately and consult the store from where it was purchased.
- Regularly inspect the power cord, plug, controller and blanket for any damage.
If it is found to be damaged in any way, immediately discontinue use of the
blanket and return to the store from where it was purchased or authorized service
agent for inspection.
- There are no user serviceable parts inside, Have the blanket checked by a quali-
fied service agent should the unit require attention.
- The blanket must not be used over or under a waterbed.
- It is recommended that a suitably qualified person inspect your electric blanket
after each 3 years of use.
- When storing, fold neatly and store without bending the heating element and
store where no other objects will be placed upon it.
- Avoid pressing creases into the appliance.
- This appliance is for domestic use only. Not intended for use in hospitals.
- The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to
provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advis-
able that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding
30mA be installed in the electrical circuit. Consult your electrician for profes-
sional advice.
- Clean this blanket only as per instruction supplied with this blanket. See “Care
and Maintenance”.
Operation & controls
1. To prevent overheating , this unit will automatically re-set to the lowest
temperature setting after one hour of continuous use on a higher level of heat.
2. The program duration of “power on” time can be extended by pressing the time
button until multiple lights are displayed on the control unit next to the time
indicator.
