All Units:

1. Remove the discharge chute from the deck. Discard

the mounting hardware, but save the discharge chute
for use during side discharge operation. The chute
pivot pin (item 21) and hairpin (item 22) may be
stored in the pivot holes on the discharge chute
during bagging operation.

2. Install the belt cover mounting stud (item 27).

For 60 inch units only, install the spacer (item 29),
two 7/16 spring disc washers (item 30) and the
plastic knob (see Figure 16). The knob does not
need to be tightened against the washers at this time.

3. Install the mounting pin weldment (item 18) to the

blower assembly using the 3/8-16 x 3/4 inch bolts

(item 28) and whizlock nuts (item 24). Maximum
deck clearance will be provided if the bolts are
installed from below the mounting pin. The mount
pin can be installed in two positions. For 60 inch
decks, Serial Number 599,999 and Lower, the pin
should be installed as far away from the bumper end
as possible. For all 72 inch decks and 60 inch and 66
inch decks Serial Number 600,000 and Higher, the
pin should be installed close to the bumper end (see
Figure 17).

4. Install the belt (item 13) onto the blower by working

it around the impeller sheave.

5. Mount the blower on the deck by sliding the

mounting pin into the tube at the rear right corner
of the deck. Swing the blower closed. Adjust the
position of the front pin to engage the slot in the
front of the deck. Use the latch to lock the blower
