Updating the T200S System Version
Updating the T200S System Version
The T200S embedded software package is a .pkg file available on the EXFO website.
Updating the T200S system version takes less than 10 minutes.
To update the T200S system version:
1.
From the EXFO website (www.EXFO.com/en/exfo-apps), download the last T200S
update package (compressed into a *.zip file).
2.
Unzip the package to a USB storage device, so that the necessary *.pkg file is located at
the USB device root.
3. Connect the USB storage device to one of the available USB ports.
4. Turn off the T200S (see Turning off the T200S on page 18).
5. On the front panel, press the button to turn on the T200S.
The T200S automatically detects the *.pkg file on the USB device and starts the update
wizard (if several *.pkg files are detected, the last copied on the USB device or on the
internal drive is taken into account).
6.
Follow the instructions displayed on screen to update the system version.
Once the update is finished, the T200S may start normally or shutdown, depending on
the update. In this case, you need to restart it as explained in
Turning on the T200S and
Accessing the GUI on page 16.

AUTION
To avoid serious system problems:

Do not turn the T200S off during the update.

Do not remove the USB device before the end of the upgrade process.
