Adjusting the Fan Speed
Adjusting the Fan Speed
By default, the fan speed of the IQS-600 controller unit and expansion units
is set to maximum. If you prefer, the application can also adjust the fan
speed to a safe minimum. In this case, it determines the most appropriate
fan speed according to the type and number of modules included in your
units.
Note:
The fan speed is the same for the IQS-600 controller unit and its expansion
units.
Note:
Depending on your test configuration, it is possible that the minimum safe
value corresponds to full speed.
Note:
The specifications of the IQS modules are based on maximum fan speed.
Using a lower fan speed can increase the measurement uncertainty. To
ensure optimal performance from your unit, use maximum fan speed.
C
AUTION
Before inserting or removing modules, always ensure that ALL
controller and expansion units are turned off, not only the unit in
which (or from which) you want to insert (or remove) modules.
Otherwise, the application is not able to determine the appropriate
fan speed and your modules will be irreparably damaged.
