Configuring an EtherSAM Test
To configure the EtherSAM Dual Test Set (DTS) test:
1.
From the Test menu, press Setup .
2. From the
Test Applications
tab, press
EtherSAM
.
3.
From the Interface tab, configure the Port , Network settings, and view
the information on the SFP/SFP+ page. See Interface on page 280.
Ensure that the link is up in the status bar before proceeding to the next
step.
4.
Press the Global tab and configure the global settings. See Global
Configuration on page 41.
5.
From the Global tab, enable Dual Test Set .
6. Select Mode as Local .
7.
Press the Discover Remote button to scan the IP address of remote
unit and press the Connect button. For more details, see Discover
Remote Button on page 251.
Note: The Services and Ramp pages are not available when the Dual Test Set
Mode is set to Remote .
8. Press the Services tab and from the Service Profile tab setup each
service. See Configuring Services on page 44.
9. From the Services tab, press the MAC/IP/UDP tab. Configure the
stream settings. See MAC/IP/UDP Configuration on page 302.
10. From the Services tab, press VLAN and configure the VLAN settings.
See VLAN on page 319.
11. Press the Ramp tab. Configure the ramp settings. See Ramp
Configuration on page 52.
