Test Functions - RTD
Round Trip Delay (RTD) measurements are needed to quantify the time it
takes for a bit to travel from the NetBlazer transmitter back to its receiver
after crossing a far-end loopback. Transport delay is mainly caused by fibre
distance.
From the
Test
menu, press
Functions
, and the
RTD
tab.
Note:
To do a RTD test, the far-end equipment should be configured to provide a
loopback.
Note:
Be aware that RTD requires error free operation conditions to provides
reliable results. Therefore, RTD results could be affected by error injection
or error introduced by the network.
