Using the Foot Pedal
The foot pedal does not disable the Start/Stop button and can be used simultaneously with
the Start/Stop button on the front panel in any mode or setting. However, the Start/Stop
button overrides all foot pedal configurations.
1. Connect the foot pedal to the port that corresponds with the UV LED Head on the back of
the Controller (refer to Figure 2).
2. Use the StepCure screen refers to Section 6.3 User Manual 035-00628R to set up the
exposure parameters and, optionally, to override the default action described below.
3. Press the foot pedal to trigger an exposure.
Count Up / Count down Mode
•
If the arrow in the status bar is pointing up, the unit is in count up mode. The UV LED
Head connected to channel 1-4 will be on for as long as the foot pedal signal is held low
or one of the other input control signals is toggled.
•
If the arrow in the status bar is pointing down, the unit is in countdown mode. The UV
LED Head connected to channel 1-4 will be on for the duration of the set timer for that
channel on the Main Control Panel screen.
(Note: All LEDs are in either count up or countdown mode)
Using the PC Interface with USB Connection
The LX500 can be commanded via a virtual RS-232 serial port. The serial port communication
settings are not adhered to and instead communication occurs at the USB 2.0 speed of
12Mbps. All serial commands are available in an SDK which is available upon request.
The LX500 complies with the S2000 command set. Use the StepCure screen to select which
LEDs will respond to this command set. To do this, the first row is the LED #, set the last row to
PC. Refer to Section 6.3 in User Manual 035-00628R
