right side of your unit, the LCD
will show the word
P
ASS
and
display a new question. Please
notice that at this point the
P
ASS
icon, which normally appears
small on the upper part of the
LCD, will disappear. This indi-
cates that you cannot use this
feature again during the same
question. Whenever the icon
reappears, it means that you can
opt for passing once again. Keep
in mind that you can only use the
P
ASS
feature once for every 10
questions, so make sure that you
use it when you absolutely need
to. The good news is that using
the
P
ASS
feature does not affect
your score.
In other cases, you might come
across a question that does not
necessarily leave you clueless,
but rather confused between two
possible answer choices. At this
point, you might want to use one
of your hints. Press the
H
INT
button, located on the lower left
side of the unit, and one of the
incorrect answers will be elimi-
nated. The LCD will indicate
which of the letter choices has
been removed. Remember that
hints can only be used if you
have chosen the Intermediate or
Advanced game levels. You can
only use one hint per question.
You will notice that the
H
INT
icon on the upper part of the
LCD disappears any time the
H
INT
feature is not available,
and reappears when it is. Please
note that there is no penalty for
using hints as long as you do not
exceed the number of hints that
you chose for yourself when you
set up your game options. In
other words, if you chose five
hints and use the hint feature six
times, you will receive half of
the score for the correct answer.
Settling the Score
Each time that you answer a
question correctly, you will
receive 10 points. If you go over
the maximum number of hints
that you set up for yourself, and
then use the hint feature to

If you are in single player

the second question at this time.
Otherwise, if in Multiplayer
mode, the

will show the
first question for Player 2. This
step will be repeated until all
players have answered one round
of questions. Once the round has
finished, the display will show
the next question for Player 1
again, and so on until all rounds
of questions are completed.
Keep in mind that questions
appear randomly, and are only
used once during a game.
