Operating Instructions
1. Unpacking
In the unlikely event that the appliance is damaged or parts are missing do not connect to
the mains supply. Contact Exakt Precision Tools Ltd. for advice.
The smaller accessories are packed inside the dust tank and must be removed before use.
2. Usage
Note: Power Take-off socket is live when the appliance is plugged in, regardless of switch
position (I, II or 0).
This appliance can be used as a vacuum cleaner or a dust extractor for connecting to hand-
held power tools.
3. Vacuum Cleaning
Do not use for sucking liquids
Follow the instructions in Section 5 to ensure that filters are clean before use!
a. Fit one end of the flexible hose into the aperture on the motor unit. (Fig. 1 )
b. Fit accessories as required to the other end of the hose. (Fig.
2, 3, 4, 9
)
c. When using the floor nozzle on hard surfaces press the switch to lower the brush head
(Fig.

)
d. Unwind the mains lead and plug in. (Fig. 5 )
e. Press the switch to the “I” position to use. (Fig.
6
)
f. The shoulder strap can be clipped to the raised lugs on the appliance if required. The
shoulder strap can then be placed on the operators shoulder. The strap should not be placed
over the head, on the opposite shoulder. (Fig. 14 )
4. Dust Extraction
a. When using as a portable power tool dust extractor, first read the instructions for the
power tool to ensure safe operation.
b. Check the power tool is rated at 2200W or less.
c. Ensure the filters are clean by following the instructions in
Section 5
. Fit the flexible hose to
the motor unit (Fig.

)
d. If using with an Exakt power tool, attach the Exakt Tool Adapter. (Fig. 10 )
e. Take the dust hose or vacuum attachment supplied with the Exakt tool and attach it to the
Tool Adapter. (Fig.
11
)
f. If using with a different type of power tool find whether the power tool adapter fits the
tool. If so, connect the power tool dust hose to the adapter and the tool.
g. If the adapter does not fit the power tool it may be necessary to improvise a system.
i.e. Using plastic tube such as drain pipe or converting a plastic drain fitting.
