FTP I
NTERFACE
This section describes how to connect your library to a host computer and use
an FTP utility to upgrade library firmware or create a diagnostic listing.
To use an FTP utility with the library, you must have the following:
A Category 5 (100BaseT connection) data-grade cable
Software that supports RFC 959 file transfer protocol
A host computer or network connection that uses a pin-through-hole RJ-45
shielded Ethernet connector
To access the library’s FTP interface:

Connect the Ethernet cable as described on
, and set Ethernet
configuration options as described on
. Make a note of the library’s
IP address.

From your host computer, activate the FTP utility you are going to use.
Connect to the library using the library’s current IP address.

Log into the library’s FTP interface using the FTP user name and password
you set during library configuration (see
). If you did not set an FTP
user name and password for the library, use the defaults:
