Using the PXIE-1149.1/4E with
ScanExpress
Hardware Setup
You must configure the PXIE-1149.1/4E controller in a ScanExpress application before the
application can use it. This chapter uses ScanExpress Runner as an example to illustrate the initial
configuration process.
Using PXIE-1149.1/4E with ScanExpress Tools
The PXIE-1149.1/4E unit is compatible with ScanExpress Runner, ScanExpress Debugger, and
ScanExpress Programmer. The following steps are provided for ScanExpress Runner. Selecting the
module in ScanExpress Debugger or ScanExpress Programmer is done in a similar fashion.
1. Make sure that PXIE-1149.1/4E controller is installed into the PXI peripheral slot.
2. Invoke the ScanExpress Runner application.
3. Click the Setup menu item and then select the Controller entry to display the Controller
Configuration screen shown in Figure 4-1.
