7.3 Note Acceptor Maintenance
The MEI (Mars) note acceptor has become the standard in the vending and gaming industry. In
the event you have a problem you can find your local Mars repair center and have them to
diagnose and repair the unit. The following are just a few steps you can take to ensure that
your unit is in the most ready condition.
If note acceptor is showing signs of
decreased performance perform the
following: Remove note box,
Remove the lower sensor block by
raising the locator pin shown and
slice the sensor unit out by slightly
pulling on it. Once unit is removed
clean it with a damp cloth. Pay
special attention to the optical
lights. DO NOT use harsh solvents.
Remove Bill box by
pushing forward and
lifting up
