Changing the filter elements (drawing 4 and 5)
The filter system consists of 2 units:
Prefilter (drawing 4) and main filter (drawing 5)
The durability of the filter elements most of all
depends on the water quality. When the water flow
of the tap decreases it might be an indication of a
bad water quantity and not of a defective filter.
Check the prefilter (drawing 4), take off the lower
pot, take out the filter element and rinse it. After this
cleaning dip this filter element for 1 – 2 minutes in
hot water (above 60°C) and it is decontaminated.
Then, assemble the element and a good water flow
is guaranteed. The filter cartridge (drawing 5) has
to be changed either after approx. 4.000 litres or 1
year. To change it closed gate valve 1 and 2, then
the filter unit is turned by 90°. Normal waste
disposal of the cartridge is allowed. Open the gate
valves 1 and 2 after installation.
