EC-10 external charger USER’S MANUAL

Item description:
Everactive EC-10 is a unique external charger that incorporates power bank function for charging mobile devices
powered from USB 5V DC output. It can be also used as a typical charger for Li-ion 18650 3.6/3.7V cells.
Device does not use built-in battery – it allows using any of 18650 type cells as a source of energy for mobile devices.
To install a battery the user has to press RED top of the charger – the device will open up allowing battery installation.
Is is easy to close the case back when the battery is installed – just press the red main body into a black shell – it is a
convenient press and click solution.
Inserted cell can be charged using micro-usb cable included in the package. Connect the cable gently to the micro USB port of
the device. Next, connect the cable's USB plug to free USB socket in a computer or notebook. For charging purpose a
common USB socket charger or car charger can be also used (it is not included in the package).
Operating instructions:
1. Install 18650 battery inside the EC-10 body – preserve correct polarity (+/-). Device supports unprotected cells (without
PCM/PCB) and some of protected cells, where height does not exceed 67mm. Using of high quality cells is advised – the
internal resistance of inserted cell should not exceed 80mOhm – low quality cell can cause damage and overheats the
charger.
2. Connect EC-10 charger to USB output using the micro USB cable. The charging process will start automatically. The
charging process is indicated by a flashing red led. The battery is fully charged when the red LED glows constantly.
Full charge voltage is 4.20V +/- 0.05V. Disconnect the micro USB cable gently from the EC-10 charger.
3. To use power bank function for charging mobile devices, connect the main USB socket output of EC-10 to mobile device's
input. Using of a proper, device specific cable may be needed. The process will start automatically - blue LED is indicating that
power bank function is active. Blue LED will start flashing when the inserted cell's voltage drops to ~3.5V. EC-10 will limit
output current to about 500 mA to prolong charging time. Everactive EC-10 charger is equipped with an overload and overheat
protection, in case of using with a maximum load for a long time the device will stop operating. Removing the cell from the
charger for about 10s will be required. In case when the charger becomes hot it is recommended to wait additional 10 minutes
before reusing.
4. When the inserted cell is empty, the blue LED will go off and the connected mobile device stops charging. Everactive EC-10
is using 2.9-3.0V threshold to protect the battery from over-discharge. To use the power bank again, the user has to charge
the cell again according to step 2. Disconnect the cable from EC-10 charger when not in use.
Warranty, safety notes:
- it is not allowed to disassemble, modify or repair the charger manually,
- the charger should be only used as intended,
- it is not allowed to use the charger with visible damages, or with abnormal behavior,
- store in a dry and cool place,
- in case of a long time storage it is recommended to store the charger and the battery separately. Topping up the battery after
each 3 months is advised. It can prolong the Li-ion battery lifetime.
- the charger is intended for indoor use only. Exposure to any liquids or moisture can cause damage to the charger and
battery. Do not allow foreign objects to enter the charger. This could result in electrical shock or fire.
- device can become hot when operating – providing good ventilation and keeping distance from other objects is advised,
- do not leave the charger unattended when operating, keep away from children and other persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities.
- two years limited warranty applies (accessories are not covered), for details contact your retailer. Warranty does not affect
and is in addition to legal (statutory) rights under applicable national laws relating to the sale of consumer products.
- the product should be disposed of properly according to applicable law. At the end of life the product should be passed to the
waste collection, electronic recycling point. Do not dispose as unsorted municipal waste.
