When to replace batteries?
Batteries should be replaced if the "Battery requires handling" message appears and
a continuous sound signal is generated, or if operating time in the battery mode is too
short. To order new batteries, contact service support.
DISPOSING OF THE USED BATTERIES OR THE UPS UNIT
The disposal / recycling of UPS units and/or batteries should be entrusted to a
specialist waste contractor with suitable licence or authorization to engage in waste
disposal / recycling. Rechargeable batteries that have been used up are classified as
"dangerous toxic waste" and, according to legal regulations, must be disposed of or
recycled by an approved recycling facility.
The manufacturer’s service centre has all the equipment necessary to handle such
batteries and equipment in the way that fully complies with the relevant laws and
regulations and with the utmost care for the environment. Please contact our
Customer Service Department to arrange maintenance and / or replacement of
batteries or the complete UPS unit.
After replacing the batteries, the approved waste disposal / recycling facility should
dispose of / recycle the used batteries.
The appropriate utilization of used electric and electronic equipment helps to protect
human health and the natural environment against the negative effects caused by the
presence of hazardous materials and components, and the improper storage and
processing of such equipment.
Act dated July 29,.2005 on used electric and electronic devices Art. 22.1 Item 1.2.
The crossed out waste container symbol means that, in the
European Union, a used product should be handed over to a
special waste handling outlet. This requirement applies both to the
UPS unit itself and to all other accessories marked with this
symbol. Such products should not be disposed of together with
unsorted municipal waste.
